Deportivo Rose City Are UPSL National Champions

Making its first-ever appearance at the UPSL National Finals, Rose City became the latest club to etch its name into UPSL history — overcoming Miami United FC in a thrilling championship match to claim the first National Championship in club history. The club entered the National Finals as one of four teams remaining from a field of more than 300 clubs across the country.

Rose City wasted no time making its presence felt on the biggest stage. Tristin Evans opened the scoring in the seventh minute, giving the Oregon club an early 1-0 advantage. Miami United responded in the 32nd minute through an own goal to level the match at 1-1 going into halftime.

After a tightly contested opening half, Dustin Corea delivered when it mattered most. The Rose City forward scored in the 57th minute to restore the lead, then struck again in the 77th to complete his brace — bringing his playoff total to a remarkable 10 goals in 6 matches.

"We feel really good, we feel happy, we feel proud. We're just enjoying this," said head coach Daniel Miranda. "It's amazing after 10 seasons."

"I feel like we are one of the top teams — well, it kinda proves it now, but we knew it all along in the beginning," said Tristin Evans. "It feels amazing that everyone can see that we can be at this top level."

Two days earlier, Rose City had booked their place in the final with a dramatic 2-1 semifinal win over Central Kansas United: Luis Banegas scored inside two minutes off a Dustin Corea through-ball, and center back Richard Stewart headed home the winner in the 4th minute of stoppage time.

The championship also earns Deportivo Rose City an automatic berth in the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup — the club's first-ever appearance in the historic tournament. Deportivo Rose City are the 2026 UPSL Spring National Champions. Vamos Rosa! 🌹🏆
